Trust is, and has always been, a huge issue among people, and it is the same with the Heavens. Trust is a main pillar of all sorts of relationships. Often, the more we trust a person, the closer and stronger the relationship. The same is true the other way, the more a person trusts you, the stronger the relationship on that end. And when that trust is broken, it is almost impossible to get it back!
If the Lord trusts you with some information, and you go about blabbing that information, then why would you ever think you would be trusted again? You have shown how much you can be trusted, and that is the level of trust you will have. It is all about trust. You may keep a friendship, but trust no longer exists there. The other person in the relationship may be a good friend to you, but the one who broke the trust is definitely not a friend. It is one of the absolutely most damming sins, to betray a brother!
One of the most interesting things is that the Heavens are always trying to teach us this trust. Time and time again we are given opportunities to become fully trustworthy. Heavenly Father loves us, but He also knows how much trust He can place in us. His job is to bring to pass the immortality and eternal life of man, and He is not going to risk being successful by entrusting information with those who would ruin His plans.
Not to mention, when a person breaks the trust of the Lord, they are the ones who have dammed their own souls. Repentance is a real life-saver, but why would you want to go through that intense process, if you do not have to?

Have you considered oranges? Oranges are so cool! Oranges have so many amazing health properties, and so many great benefits for people. The various properties of oranges cure so many different ailments. It would be so great to get oranges to many more people!
If the Lord asked you not to tell anyone about oranges; if the Lord said He wanted to tell people in person, that He would tell anyone who truly humbled themselves before Him, and the Lord asked you not to tell anyone; would you keep His trust?

I was approached by a person who did not like that the Lord asked her to keep sacred things to herself. She complained that she should be able to go by the Spirit in whatever situation she found herself. In other words, she wanted to do what she thought best. As she proceeded to break the trust placed in her, she lost her insight and could no longer understand even simple connections, and eventually, altogether lost her connection to the Spirit of God.

Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. Proverbs 3:5 - 6

A sad situation is, when a friend or worse yet, a loved one, knows that you are bound to keep the Lord's confidence, and that loved one insists that you reveal, or tries to trick you out of the information.
They really are not your friend! No one who truly loves you will try to get you to betray the Lord! If they loved you, they would be trying to help you keep your honour, and they would do everything in their power to help you keep the confidence of the Lord. Anyone who would attempt to get you to betray goodness is an enemy to all goodness, even if it is your spouse.
Now these people who lie in wait to lead you astray and catch you, are only in love with themselves, and they want you to fail, so they can feel more comfortable with their failures. After all, to them, the more people who fail, the more they feel that they are not all that bad, because they measure themselves against others. Of course this measuring themselves against others is strictly against the Gospel as well!Sometimes, people will justify their deceptions, because they are trying to catch others in a deception. But, this is strictly forbidden of the Lord, and is a clear tactic of Satan. It is up to us to remain strong, and choose the Lord. We must retain the trust of the Lord. Those who try to get us to reveal things we are not to reveal, they are the ones who are not trusted by the Lord, nor by any degree of the heavens. It is simple math: Those people know absolutely nothing of the mysteries of God, revealed by the fact that they struggle with out the Peace of the Spirit in their lives and have no good results. If they did have these things, then why would they be spending their time betraying you, and betray the God they claim to serve?
Once the Lord is betrayed, the Holy Ghost withdraws, and different spirits take it's place. Trust is a difficult thing to rebuild! It is best never to break trust in the first place. When the trust of the Heavens is broken, then we are often left on our own; revelation stops, and we are left to ourselves to struggle along. Why would anyone ever risk being cut off from the presence of God?!

This post hits home for me, as this was something that I know I used to do, and I have seen the consequences of this type of behaviour. But of course, as they say, hindsight is 20/20, and so I wonder if those who are currently doing these things are able to see so clearly. Unfortunately, I suspect that those who need this post the most, will not think that this post applies to them!

All is not lost!
If you have found that you have broken the trust of the Lord, or asked someone else to break trust with the Lord, please remember that the atonement allows for full repentance! And forgiveness is offered in direct correlation of your repentance. In other words, you can be forgiven to the degree of your repentance.
Do not think, shedding a few tears and saying you are sorry will fix this! You must fix and undo the damage you caused, both to the Lord and to the Lord’s child who you also betrayed, before you will be trusted again. Then rebuild the trust, before you will be trusted again. You must be “reconciled!” If you are not reconciled, then you did not repent! Then after being reconciled to the people you betrayed, and to those with whom you betrayed them, a person must re-approach the Lord, with full and pure purpose of heart, and then re-build a new relationship of pure trust!
If this tiny little bit of repentance seems too difficult to bear, then good advice dictates: Do not betray the Lord; and, do not ask for someone to betray the Lord!
It is so thrilling to know we have a good God, a kind God, a loving God, far more loving than us, who forgives us as instantly as we repent, and forgives us as much as we repent!!! Wow, what an amazing God!
