Sharing Experiences

Every once in a while, as time and circumstances permit, I plan on posting bits and pieces of some of my personal experiences, for the purpose of sharing with people various possibilities.

Anyone who lives the way the Lord advises in the scriptures can have these types of experiences. There is no mystery of obtaining these kinds of experiences of the Lord. All a person has to do is to follow the instructions that are written in the Book of Mormon. Just keep the commandments how they are written in the Book of Mormon. Do not change them, do not adjust them, just keep them how they are written. Do not have the vanity to think the Lord will give you your own version of commandments. Just be humble enough to keep the commandments as they are written, without justifying anything, then you will have many wonderful experiences of the Lord!

This reminds me of a scripture, Proverbs 2:1-5:

1 My son, if thou wilt receive my words, and hide my commandments with thee;

2 So that thou incline thine ear unto wisdom, and apply thine heart to understanding;

3 Yea, if thou criest after knowledge, and liftest up thy voice for understanding;

4 If thou seekest her as silver, and searchest for her as for hid treasures;

5 Then shalt thou understand the fear of the LORD, and find the knowledge of God.

For me, a good place to start has been 3 Nephi. The Lord goes through many commandments here and in detail how to keep them.
